height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure centered over NE Gulf will shift
east of the area today. A cold front will move off the Texas
coast into the NW Gulf Fri morning, then stall from the Florida
panhandle to a weak low near S Texas with a cold front extending
from the low pressure southward to near Veracruz, Mexico on Sat
morning. Fresh to strong winds and building seas will follow the
front, especially over the W and SW Gulf along the coast of
Mexico from Fri night through Sun night.

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
