height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough will move off the Yucatan Peninsula each
night supporting fresh winds off northwest Yucatan. Elsewhere, a
ridge over the northern Gulf will support mostly gentle to
moderate winds and slight seas across the basin through Fri.

.OVERNIGHT...E winds less than 10 kt, shifting to SE after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...S winds less than 10 kt in the morning, becoming variable
winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON NIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming S less
than 10 kt after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less.
