height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough will move off the Yucatan Peninsula each
night supporting fresh winds off northwest Yucatan. Elsewhere, a
ridge over the northern Gulf will support mostly gentle to
moderate winds and slight seas across the basin through mid
week. 

Gulf of Mexico N of 26N W of 87W

.OVERNIGHT...SE winds less than 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after
midnight. 
.SUN...E winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.SUN NIGHT...E winds less than 10 kt, shifting to SE after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...SE winds 10 kt in the morning, becoming variable winds
less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
