Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Newly formed Tropical Depression Two is near 28.0N
86.6W 1007 mb at 5 PM EDT moving WNW at 2 kt. Maximum sustained
winds 30 kt gusts 40 kt. Tropical Depression Two will strengthen
to a tropical storm near 27.7N 86.7W late tonight with maximum
sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt and maintain intensity as it
moves to near 26.4N 86.6W Fri afternoon. Tropical Depression Two
is forecast to weaken to a tropical depression near 24.8N 86.2W
late Fri night, move south-southeast to o near 23.7N 85.7W Sat
afternoon, then become a remnant low near 22.6N 84.3W late Sat
night and dissipate Sun afternoon. Over the western Gulf, high
pressure should lead to gentle to moderate winds into the
weekend and into early next week, with occasional fresh pulses
along the W coast of Yucatan.
