Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from south-central Louisiana to inland extreme northeastern Mexico will become stationary and weaken as it reaches from northern Florida to western Gulf by early Mon. A rather potent squall line extends from 28N94W to 25N95W and southwestward to the coast of Mexico near 23N98W. A large complex of strong to severe numerous thunderstorms is racing eastward along and ahead of the squall line. This activity extends eastward to near 89W. The thunderstorms are accompanied by frequent lighting, strong wind gusts reaching to gale-force at times and heavy rainfall reducing visibility. Mariners navigating the impacted waters are urged to use caution. Fresh to strong northeast to east winds over the NW Gulf will diminish Mon afternoon.
