height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak ridging is contributing toward generally
moderate to fresh SE to S winds across the Gulf. A diurnal
trough developing over the Yucatan Peninsula during the day will
induce fresh to strong E to SE winds over the SW Gulf nightly
through Sun night. Looking ahead, a weak cold front may emerge
off of the Texas and Louisiana coast on Mon. Fresh SW winds are
expected ahead of the front with only moderate or weaker winds
behind the front on Mon and Tue.
