Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge between the Bahamas and
Bermuda interacting with an expansive area of deep low pressure 
over the central U.S. is allowing for moderate to fresh SE to S 
winds over the NW and north-central Gulf waters, and for fresh 
to strong SE to S winds over most of the central waters.
As the low pressure continues to shift northeastward, these
winds should diminish by late this afternoon. However, a diurnal
trough devel.r the Yucatan Peninsula during the day will induce
fresh to strong E to SE winds over the SW Gulf nightly for the
next several days. Elsewhere, moderate or weaker E to SE winds
should prevail through Sun night. Looking ahead, a weak cold
front may emerge off of the Texas and Louisiana coast on Mon.
