Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front is forecast to enter the western Gulf 
tonight. However, the pressure gradient is expected to decrease
and the current strong southerly winds ahead of the boundary to 
decrease to moderate to fresh. The front will extend from the 
Florida Panhandle to near Tampico, Mexico by Thu afternoon. Fresh
N winds are likely behind the front. Low pressure may form on 
the western edge of the front in the western Gulf late this week 
and move northward. Strong winds are expected to develop this 
weekend in the northern and western Gulf waters as the low 
pressure and associated frontal boundary moves eastward.
