Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from near Fort Myers, Florida
southwest where it stalls just north of the Yucatan Peninsula.
The front will become completely stationary by this afternoon,
extending from the Straits of Florida to the W central Gulf. A
secondary push of cold air over the NW Gulf will reinvigorate
the front and cause it to reach from the Straits of Florida to
the Bay of Campeche by Sun morning. A large area of fresh to
near gale N to NE winds should occur over the N, central and W
Gulf this weekend. The cold front should dissipate just
southeast of the basin by Mon morning. Another front may impact
the Gulf Tue and Tue night.
