Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough over the NE Gulf near 29N is followed by
fresh northwest winds. The trough will sink to near 27N Mon east
of 90W, with the fresh northwest winds behind it becoming
moderate northeast winds, and while at the same time, high
pressure from the central U.S. continues to build southward over
the region. A frontal trough currently over the southeastern
U.S. will move southward across the eastern Gulf Mon night
through Tue night, followed by another area of relatively weak
high pressure. This will allow for moderate to fresh northeast
to east winds to occur mainly over the NE Gulf. Winds over the
NE Gulf become east at gentle to moderate speeds on Wed, with
little change expected through Fri night. Moderate to fresh
northeast to east winds will develop over the southeastern Gulf
starting Fri as a tight gradient builds behind a cold front that
will move south over South Florida and the Keys.
