Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Ian is over the southeast Gulf near
24.0N 83.2W 952 mb at 5 PM EDT, moving N at 9 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 105 kt with gusts to 130 kt. Ian will move
to 25.3N 82.9W Wed morning, 26.6N 82.5W Wed afternoon, then move
inland over southwest Florida and reach 27.6N 82.0W Thu morning.
Ian will continue weaken to a tropical storm over Florida near
28.5N 81.5W Thu afternoon. Winds and seas will gradually
diminish across the Gulf Thu night as Ian continues to move
northeast of the region.
