Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak pressure pattern will continue to dominate
the Gulf waters through tonight, producing gentle to locally
moderate winds and slight seas across the basin. A broad 1007 mb
low pressure near 28N86W is along a surface trough extending
from the NE Gulf to the south-central Gulf. This system is
producing scattered showers and thunderstorms. The broad low
will migrate NW toward the north-central Gulf early Fri and
induce a fresh southerly return flow across the eastern half of
the basin Fri night into Sat night. Looking ahead, winds and
seas will diminish through Sun as the trough weakens and shifts
west ahead of high pressure building over the northeast Gulf.
