Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A frontal boundary extending from the Florida Big
Bend to southern Louisiana will continue to enhance showers and
tstms across the NE gulf offshore waters through early Fri. A
strong tropical wave over the western Yucatan Peninsula is
forecast to emerge over the Bay of Campeche on Friday.
Environmental conditions appear favorable for additional
development, and a tropical depression could form while the
system moves northwestward over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico
on Friday or Saturday. However, by Saturday night, the system is
expected to move inland over northeastern Mexico, which will end
its chances of development. With this, the system has a medium
chance for tropical formation through the next 48 hours and
5 days.
