Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1016 mb high pressure centered over the N central
Gulf near 27N91W will drift ESE to the north-central Gulf before
dissipating tonight. A stalled front along southern Georgia and
Alabama will linger in this area through Thu, supporting
scattered showers and tstms in the NE basin through Thu night
and moderate SW to W winds through tonight. Otherwise, a
tropical wave over the northwestern Caribbean Sea is forecast to
move across Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula through
Thu night, and emerge over the Bay of Campeche, where an area of
low pressure could form on Friday. Some gradual development of
this system is possible while it moves NW over the southwestern
Gulf of Mexico through the weekend. Regardless of development,
moderate to fresh winds are expected across the SW and
west-central gulf Thu through Sat night.
