Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A dying stationary front extending from near Tampa, Florida, to New Orleans, Louisiana will dissipate late this afternoon. In its wake, high pressure will build in from the north, bringing moderate to fresh easterly winds across much of the Gulf from Mon night through Wed night. These winds will pulse to strong during nighttime off the central Florida coast on Mon and Tue nights, and over the eastern Bay of Campeche from Mon night thru Wed night.
