Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure has shifted to the NE Gulf. Fresh to
strong southerly winds are over the western Gulf, while gentle
to moderate northeast to east winds are across most of the
eastern Gulf, with light southeast to south winds near the high
pressure. The fresh to strong winds across the western Gulf will
expand eastward to the central Gulf Mon through Wed. Winds over
the eastern Gulf will increase to fresh speeds Mon through Wed
as the high pressure shifts to east of the Gulf. A weak cold
front will move off the Texas coast on Wed night, then become
stationary over the northern Gulf on Thu. The western part of
the front will lift back north as a warm front on Fri, while its
remainder continues stationary.
