These conditions are forecast to persist to early this afternoon. Fresh to locally strong S winds in the south-central Gulf will diminish tonight. A cold front will move off the Texas coast this afternoon. Strong N winds and building seas will follow the front, which will reach from the Florida Big Bend to the central Bay of Campeche by Thu morning. Gales will develop on Thu morning offshore Veracruz, Mexico, and continue through the evening. The cold front will move SE and exit the basin by Fri morning.
