Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from Tampa Bay, Florida near 28N83W to 24N93W to north of Veracruz, Mexico near 20N97W. A pre- frontal trough continues to extend south of Tampa Bay to 25N86W with some strong thunderstorms along this feature. The front will linger across the central and southern Gulf this weekend. Strong thunderstorms may continue along the front tonight through Sat. The front will dissipate early next week with southerly return flow dominating the basin.
