000 FZNT32 KNHC 291407 OFFN21 Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast NWS National Hurricane Center Miami, FL 1007 AM EDT Tue Mar 29 2022 Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...Strong southerly winds and rough seas will spread eastward across most of the Gulf region this evening through Wed. Frequent gusts to gale force are expected north of 22N and west of 87W, with building seas of up to 12 to 14 ft across the central and north-central Gulf on Wed and Wed evening. These hazardous marine conditions will be the result of a strong pressure gradient between high pressure over the western Atlantic and a deepening low pressure over Texas and northern Mexico. A cold front will approach the coast of Texas by Wed evening, and extend from the western Florida Panhandle to near Veracruz, Mexico by Thu evening. The front is forecast to stall and gradually dissipate into the upcoming weekend. Gulf of Mexico N of 26N W of 87W ...GALE WARNING... .THIS AFTERNOON...SE winds 10 to 20 kt.
