Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the NW Bahamas across western Cuba into the NW Caribbean Sea. It is sustaining moderate to fresh winds with locally strong N winds and showers behind it across the Strait of Florida and Yucatan Channel. Another weaker cold front extending from the Florida Big Bend to the central Gulf is producing moderate with locally fresh NW winds in the NE and E central Gulf. The first front will move further away from the Gulf, which should cause winds and showers to subside later this evening.
