height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends across the western Gulf from
central Louisiana near 30N92W to south of Tampico, Mexico near
21N97W. Fresh to strong southerly winds are expected across the
eastern Gulf through early Wed morning ahead of the front. Fresh
to strong northerly winds are expected behind the front through
Thu night, mostly in the southwest Gulf. The front will reach
the SE waters by Wed night, and move just SE of the area by Thu
night. Showers and thunderstorms will continue along the front
through Thu.
