height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front has now stalled from the Florida
Straits to near Cancun, Mexico. This front will dissipate later
today. In the wake of the front, fresh winds and seas of 8 to
10 ft in the SW Gulf will also decrease today as high pressure
crosses N of the region. Low pressure will emerge off the Texas
coast Mon evening, then track across the northern and eastern
Gulf into Wed. Strong winds and higher seas are likely with this
low and behind its associated cold front.
