Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A previously stationary front has begun moving SE across the basin as a cold front. This boundary extends from near Sarasota, Florida, to the eastern Bay of Campeche. Fresh to strong NE winds and seas of 8 to 11 ft are occurring behind the front. The front will exit the basin tonight, bringing improving marine conditions. The next cold front, along with a possible associated low pressure, is forecast to emerge off the Texas coast by Mon night.
