Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from southwest Louisiana to Port Aransas near Corpus Christi will continue to move southeast off the Texas coast tonight. Ahead of the front, a mix of showers, thunderstorms and some areas of fog are possible in the nearshore waters off Texas. Strong winds will follow the front through the early part of the week, reaching gale force within 60 nm of Tamaulipas early Monday, then Veracruz Mon night. Conditions will improve across the basin mid-week as the front pushes well southeast of the area.
