Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will move into the northern Gulf
coastal waters tonight, move southward then stall and dissipate
across the Yucatan Channel through Sat. A reinforcing front will
follow closely behind the first front, entering the northern
front Fri night, then move southeast of the Gulf through Sun.
Looking ahead, high pressure building across the northern Gulf
Sun, will strengthen into Mon, supporting fresh winds over the
southeast and south-central Gulf. 

Gulf of Mexico N of 26N W of 87W

.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to less than 10 kt in
the afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the
evening, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...Variable winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds less than 10 kt, becoming N 10 to 20 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less.
