height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh W to NW winds and seas to 11 ft
east of 93W will diminish this evening as a stationary front in
the NW Caribbean transitions to a cold front, and moves further
to the east. Remaining NW swell will gradually subside to below
8 ft by Sun morning. Fairly tranquil marine conditions are then
forecast for the rest of the weekend and continuing through the
middle of the upcoming week.

.SUN...NE winds less than 10 kt in the morning, becoming
