Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A frontal trough extends from Ft. Myers, Florida to
near 22N90W. This trough will move slowly across South Florida
and the Florida Keys this weekend helping to induce scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms. Winds and seas will be higher
in and near showers and thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh southerly
return flow is expected over the western Gulf late Sun through 
Wed night under the influence of a ridge.
