Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak ridge extends from the Florida Keys to the
northwest Gulf, south of a weak cold front moving south into the
Florida Panhandle. The front will stall over far northeast Gulf
through Fri. This pattern will maintain light to gentle breezes
over most the Gulf, with slight seas, except for fresh winds
expected to pulse northwest of the Yucatan Peninsula at night
through Fri. Looking ahead, an area of low pressure that is
currently located near the coast of Nicaragua could move over
the southwestern Gulf of Mexico during the weekend and early
next week, but by then strong upper- level winds would likely
limit significant development.
