Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Claudette near 31.0N 89.7W 1007 mb at
11 AM EDT moving NNE at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 35 kt 
gusts 45 kt. Claudette will weaken to a tropical depression near 
32.0N 88.0W this evening. Seas to 13 ft are noted within about 
120 nm SE quadrant of Claudette's center over the NE Gulf. An 
area of fresh to strong winds and seas in the 8 to 12 ft range is
currently covering the waters N of 27N between 86W and 90W. 
These marine conditions will persist through tonight. High 
pressure is forecast to build in across the basin in the wake of 
Claudette Sat night into early next week. Fresh to locally strong
southerly return flow will set-up across the western Gulf on 
Sun.
