Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong SE to S winds will continue over the
central Gulf through Tue ahead of an approaching cold front. The
front will move off the Texas coast later on Tue, with fresh
northerly winds briefly developing behind the front over the far
western Gulf Tue night into Wed. The front will briefly stall
over the northern Gulf during midweek, then move SE across the
rest of the basin Thu through Fri. By Sat, moderate to fresh SE
return flow is expected across the western and central Gulf
waters.
