Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front is moving across the NW Gulf, extending
from 30N85W to 27N92W to 22N97W. Strong to gale force northerly
winds and building seas are currently expected from 20N-25N and
west of 96W. This conditions will dissipate overnight. The front
will extend from central Florida to central Bay of Campeche on
Mon afternoon, become weak and stationary by late on Mon, then
dissipating on Mon night. A second cold front will move off the
Texas coast by Wed evening. Fresh to strong winds are expected
behind the front.
