Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong winds will persist near and to the
NW of the Yucatan peninsula into the early morning hours due to
local effects. Dense fog is also expected this morning within
60 nm of the Louisiana coast ahead of a cold front. The front
will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico this morning following by
fresh to strong northerly winds. Winds will reach minimal gale
force this afternoon through tonight near the Tampico area, with
seas building up to 11 ft. The front will extend from central
Florida to central Bay of Campeche on Mon afternoon, become
stationary late on Mon, then lift northward Mon night into Tue
while weakening. A second cold front will move off the Texas
coast by Wed night. Fresh to strong winds are expected behind
the front.
