Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The cold front has pushed out of the Gulf with fresh
NW winds still prevailing in the eastern Gulf. High pressure
will build over the Gulf through Sat. The next cold front will
push off the Texas coast Sun night and bring strong NW winds
across the western and central Gulf on Mon. Gale- force winds
are possible near Veracruz Mon. The front will extend from
northern Florida to the Yucatan peninsula on Tue and will exit
the basin by Tue night.
