.SYNOPSIS...A ridge prevailing across the Gulf waters will
support gentle to moderate E-SE winds today. Southerly return
flow increases slightly across the NW Gulf tonight, then winds
across the basin will diminish early Thu. The next cold front
will move into the northern Gulf coastal waters Thu into Thu 
night, then stall Fri. Reinforcing high pressure will push the 
front across the Gulf this weekend with fresh to strong northerly
winds behind it. The front will reach the southeast part of the 
basin by Sat night, moving well southeast of the area by the end 
of the weekend. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building
to 3 ft in the afternoon. 
.TONIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.THU...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
Chance of showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...N winds less than 5 kt, shifting to NE to E after
midnight. Seas 3 ft. Slight chance of tstms. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S to SW in the
afternoon. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N 15 to 25 kt after
