.SYNOPSIS...A small area of low pressure and associated surface
trough currently over eastern Honduras may move into the SW Gulf
of Mexico this weekend, though unfavorable upper-level winds are
likely to limit significant development early next week as the
system moves NW or N over the western Gulf. Regardless of
development, heavy rain is possible over portions of the Yucatan
Peninsula and adjacent waters through the weekend. Otherwise, a
weak ridge extends from the Florida Keys to the northwest Gulf,
south of a weak stationary front in the Florida Panhandle. The
front will gradually move south and stall over far northeast
Gulf through Fri.
