.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southwest to west winds over the NE
Gulf will persist through tonight ahead of a frontal trough.
Then, light and variable winds will prevail over the NE Gulf
during the upcoming weekend. Elsewhere, a ridge will dominate
the Gulf region producing mainly gentle to moderate southerly
winds through Fri. Pulsing fresh winds are expected northwest of
the Yucatan Peninsula at night through Fri. Looking ahead, an
area of low pressure that is currently over the southwestern
Caribbean Sea may have an opportunity for gradual development in
the southwestern Gulf of Mexico early next week. Scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected near the Yucatan
Peninsula late this week and into the weekend. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt W of 94W, and S to SW winds
10 to 15 kt between 90W and 94W. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Winds and seas
higher in and near scattered to numerous showers and
thunderstorms.
.THU...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU NIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI NIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
