.SYNOPSIS...A shearline extends across the northern portion of
the basin along 27N. With this, scattered moderate convection
prevails north of 26N. Winds and seas could be higher near
thunderstorms activity. A frontal boundary extends across the
gulf states behind the shearline. The front will drift east
exiting the basin within the next 48 hours. A surface ridge from
the Atlantic prevails elsewhere and will dominate the Gulf
region over the next several days. Pulsing fresh E to SE winds
are expected each night into the early morning hours to the NW
of the Yucatan peninsula through Thu night.
