.SYNOPSIS...Showers and thunderstorms are expected to linger
across the NW Gulf of Mexico over the next day. A strong ridge
from eastern seaboard to the NE Gulf will continue to dominate
the Gulf waters the remainder of the week. The pressure gradient
between the ridge and a deepening low pressure across the
Southern Plains and northern Mexico will result in fresh to
strong SE winds especially off the north-central Gulf coast and
and high seas today through Sat. Seas will be 8 to 10 ft near the
edge off the offshores today through Fri night.
