000 FZNT27 KNHC 151537 OFFN06 NAVTEX Marine Forecast NWS National Hurricane Center Miami, FL 1037 AM EST Mon Feb 15 2021 ...Please refer to Coastal Waters Forecasts (CWF) available through NOAA Weather Radio and other means for detailed Coastal Waters Forecasts... .SYNOPSIS...Low pressure of 1008 mb is centered near 28N92W, with a cold front extending from it to 24N93W and to Veracruz, Mexico. A warm front extends from the low to 29N90W and to 28N88W, where it transitions to a cold front to weak low pressure of 1013 mb near 29N84W. A very tight gradient between strong high building southward over the western Gulf and the cold front associated to the low pressure near 28N92W is resulting in gale force northerly winds over the western Gulf waters as well as over the western part of the north-central waters. Along with these winds, seas have build to large values over the NW and west-central Gulf areas. The gale force winds will diminish during the afternoon as the 1008 mb low lifts north of the area, with the trailing cold front extending from the western Florida panhandle to near 25N89W, and to inland the northwest part of the Yucatan Peninsula. The cold front will weaken as it reaches the far southeastern Gulf Tue, where it is expected to become stationary, before lifting back north as a warm front Tue night and Wed. Another low pressure system will track east-northeastward across the NW Gulf on Wed and Wed night dragging a strong cold front across the western Gulf. This cold front is expected to reach from near Apalachicola, Florida to the eastern Bay of Campeche on Thu, and exit the Gulf on Fri. Gale conditions will be possible behind this front off Veracruz on Thu. Strong to near gale force southerly winds are possible ahead of this front.
