.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough across the SW Gulf will maintain
strong NW winds near the coast of Mexico this evening before
weakening considerably tonight. A cold front will move into the
NW Gulf early Fri, and extend from the Florida Big Bend
panhandle to 22N95W to southern Mexico south of Veracruz Fri
evening. Reinforcing cold air will increase winds behind the
front in the northern Gulf Fri night and Sat as the front
weakens and sinks SE of the basin. High pressure will remain
centered over the Gulf Sun and Mon. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt,  shifting to SW late. Seas
2 ft or less, building to 3 ft late. 
.THU...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...W winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.SAT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming NW to N 10 to 15 kt in the
