.SYNOPSIS...An elongated middle level low, upper level diffluent
flow and abundant moisture in the western Gulf support numerous
to scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms. A strong pressure
gradient between this area of low pressure and a ridge over the
E Gulf support fresh to near gale force over Louisiana adjacent
waters continuing through early this afternoon. Fresh to strong
southeast winds over much of the western sections of the gulf
will continue through Thu.
