Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure is centered across eastern Texas,
supporting relatively quiet marine conditions expected to change
little through Fri. Fresh to strong southeast to south winds and
scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop over the western
Gulf Fri night, then shift east into Sun, in advance of a cold
front. By Sun night, this cold front is expected to move E of
the Gulf, with strong to possibly gale-force W to NW winds along
with rough seas expanding across much of the basin Mon through
Mon night.

.TODAY...NE winds 10 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 kt. Seas 3 ft or less. 
.FRI...Variable winds less than 5 kt. Seas 3 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...Variable winds less than 5 kt, becoming E 10 kt
late. Seas 3 ft or less. 
.SAT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft or less. 
.SAT NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SE to S 20 to 25 kt
late. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A weak surface trough extends from near 22N55W to
the to near Puerto Rico and the northernmost  Leeward Islands.
This trough will dissipate today. Low pressure W of Bermuda will 
strengthen as it moves ESE along and just N of 31N through Fri, 
before lifting NE away from area waters. Strong to gale- force 
cyclonic winds and rough to very rough seas will accompany this 
broad low pressure for waters north of 24N into Fri. Another cold 
front will move southeastward across northern waters Fri night 
into Sat night, bringing fresh to strong west winds on both sides 
of the front north of 28N into Sun. Low pressure and a new frontal
system will move across the northwest waters Mon. 

.TODAY...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and N 15 to 20 kt N
of 27N. Seas 7 to 11 ft in N swell. 
.TONIGHT...N of 27N, NW to N winds 10 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft in NE
swell. S of 27N, N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft in N to
NE swell. 
.FRI...S of 27N, NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE in
the afternoon. N of 27N, W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt except 10 to 15
kt N of 29N. Seas 5 to 7 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 9 ft in NE to E 
swell N of 27N.
.FRI NIGHT...N winds less than 5 kt S of 27N, and W to NW 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N.
