Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure across the basin will maintain
generally tranquil conditions across the Gulf through the rest
of the week. Low pressure in the central Caribbean has a high
chance of tropical formation by this weekend, and this system is
expected to approach the Yucatan Peninsula or Channel Sat and
could emerge in the southern Gulf Sun.

.SYNOPSIS...A broad and elongated area of low pressure remains
across the central Tropical Atlantic, associated with a pair of
tropical wave. Environment conditions are favorable for tropical
 development and a tropical depression is expected to form in
the  next day or so as the low pressure moves WNW at 15 to
20 mph.  There is a high chance of tropical formation in the
next 48 hours. This system is forecast to approach the Leeward
Islands Fri, move across or just north of the Virgin Islands and
Puerto Rico Sat, and then along northern Hispaniola and the Turks
and Caicos Islands Sun.

.THIS AFTERNOON...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N,
and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
