Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate much of the Gulf waters
through Sun producing an E to SE wind flow. A surface trough
will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the evening
hours, drift westward across the SW Gulf at night, and dissipate
in the morning. Fresh to locally strong winds will be associated
with the trough. A stationary front over the far north waters
will lift N on Thu.

.SYNOPSIS...Former Tropical Cyclone Arthur located north of the 
area will move SE to S into the forecast waters on Thu and 
weaken. Large NE swell from Arthur will affect the waters NE of 
the Bahamas through Fri then subside Fri night and Sat. A weak 
frontal trough over the NW Bahamas and south Florida will weaken
tonight. High pressure will build modestly across the northern 
waters Fri and Sat. 

.TONIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 4 to 6 ft N of 27N.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft in the afternoon. N of 27N, seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft S of 27N, and 5 to
7 ft N of 27N.
