Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A nearly stationary frontal boundary extends from
1011 mb low pressure south of Mobile Bay toward the Yucatan
peninsula. This pattern is supporting winds to gale force and
building seas over the northeast Gulf and off Veracruz in the
southwest Gulf. Clusters of thunderstorms ahead of the front are
bringing gusty winds and lower visibilities due to locally heavy
rainfall to portions of the eastern Gulf today. Winds and seas
will diminish as the trailing cold front sweeps southeast of the
Gulf tonight and the low lifts northeast toward the Georgia
coast through late Mon. Weak high pressure sets up in the wake
of the front over the western Gulf through mid week. Looking
ahead, winds may increase over the northeast Gulf by late Thu as
a weak front approaches the region.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Deepening low pressure currently over the north
central Gulf of Mexico will move toward the Georgia coast by
late Mon, with a trailing cold front moving off the east coast
of Florida. SE winds will increase to gale force by late today
off northeast Florida ahead of the approaching low and front.
The front will continue to sweep eastward, reaching from 31N72W
to western Cuba by early Tue as the low slowly moves toward
31N76W. The low pressure will weaken little as moves toward
29N65W by early Wed, with the front extending to the Windward
Passage. Looking ahead, winds and seas diminish across the
region after late Wed as the low and front move farther east and
weaken.

of 29N in the afternoon. Seas 8 to 12 ft. Numerous showers and

.TONIGHT...SE winds 30 to 35 kt N of 29N W of 79W, and SE 20 to
30 kt elsewhere. Seas 9 to 14 ft. Numerous showers and scattered 
tstms. 
.MON...S of 27N,SW winds 15 to 20 kt. N of 27N,SE to S winds
25 to 30 kt, shifting to SW 20 to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas
6 to 9 ft. Numerous showers and scattered tstms.
