Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the northeast Gulf will shift
east of the area today ahead of a cold front moving off the
Texas coast early Fri. Weak low pressure may form along the
front over the northern Gulf Fri and shift northeast of the area
into Sun, allowing the front to stall and weaken over the
western Gulf. A ridge of high pressure will build across the
central Gulf Mon, before shifting east of the area late Mon
ahead of a stronger cold front expected to move off the Texas
coast Tue.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front reaching from Bermuda to the central
Bahamas will move southeast and merge with a stationary front
farther east. The merged front will continue to move east of the
area tonight, leaving a stationary front through the southern 
Bahamas into Sat. Another front will move off the Carolinas late
Sat into Sun and shift eastward. While this front may stay north
of the area, strong high pressure following the front into the
northwest Atlantic will support fresh easterly winds and building
seas off the Bahamas late Sun. These winds will diminish early 
next week as the high pressure shifts east.

.TODAY...N winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and NW to N 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.
