Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Elongated low pressure over the SW Gulf will drift
NW towards Tampico Mexico through Tue, possibly intensifying to
a tropical cyclone. Elsewhere, gentle to moderate east-southeast
winds will persist south of a ridge across the northern Gulf
through Tue night. The ridge will shift east on Wed, and produce
S to SE return flow for most of the basin through Fri.  

.TODAY...SE winds 5 to 10 kt,  shifting to NE to E late. Seas
2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge extending across the region along 28N to the
Bahamas will shift east-southeast today. High pressure will 
build southward over NW waters tonight through Tue night. Fairly
tranquil marine conditions are expected elsewhere over the 
forecast area. Broad low pressure is expected to develop north of 
Puerto Rico by later today, then drift N-NE through Fri. 

.TODAY...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Scattered 
showers. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less.
