Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pres extending from the middle Atlantic region of the United States southward to the eastern gulf waters will move eastward through Tuesday as a strong cold front moves across the central portion of the U.S. and approaches the NW gulf waters. The cold front will enter the NW gulf Tuesday night followed by fresh to strong northerly winds and building seas. The cold front will reach from near Apalachee Bay to near 27N90W and to 26N93W where it will transition to a warm front to developing low pres near far southern Texas coast. A cold front will extend from the low southward to the far western part of the SW gulf on Wednesday. The low pres is expected to move quickly northeastward dragging the cold front across the remainder of the Gulf through Friday. Strong northerly winds and rapidly building seas will follow the front, with winds possibly reaching gale force over portions of the west-central and SW waters beginning on Thursday and through Thursday night. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A frontal boundary from near 22N60W to just N of the central coast of Hispaniola will begin to slowly move southeastward late tonight to SE of the area on Monday. Moderate NE winds will prevail across the region through Monday, then high pressure building near Bermuda will induce fresh to strong easterly winds over central and southern waters Monday night through Wednesday morning. The high will shift eastward on Wednesday in response to a cold front that will move across the NW portion. The front is expected to reach from near 31N74W to near Vero Beach by early on Thursday and slow down. The western portion of the front will lift N as a warm front late on Thursday as a stronger cold front moves to just offshore the SE United States coast. This second cold front will quickly merge with the first front from near 31N73W to the NW Bahamas and to western Cuba by Friday night.
