Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough extends from the NW Gulf to just NW of the
N central Yucatan Peninsula as high pressure extends from the SE
U.S. to the central gulf. A cold front just offshore the Texas
coast will merge with the trough Thursday through Friday night.
The front will become stationary from near the western Florida 
Panhandle to Tampico, Mexico on Friday, before drifting westward 
through the upcoming weekend and into Monday as high pres remains 
elsewhere across the area.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...High pres dominates much of the forecast area while
a trough is along 74W S of 25N, and a shear line extends from
near 25N66W SW to the central Bahamas and to the Straits of
Florida. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are
over the  eastern portion N of 23N and E of 74W ahead of an
upper trough.  The upper trough will help develop a surface low
over the extreme  far eastern waters by Thursday evening. The
low will move well to  the NE of the forecast waters on Friday
as high pres builds in  over the area. A trough will develop
near 78W N of the NW Bahamas  Sunday through Monday night.
