Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the northern Gulf through the
middle of the week. A trough will develop late each day over the
Yucatan Peninsula and drift westward into the SW Gulf each night
where it will dissipate each morning. A cold front will move off
the Texas coast Wednesday, and extend from the Florida panhandle
to Brownsville, Texas by late Wed, and from near Tampa Bay to
25N94W to 18N94W by late Thu. The front stalls from W-central
Florida to extreme W Bay of Campeche Fri. Strong high pressure
building over the Mid-Atlantic will result in fresh to locally
strong NE winds E of 85W Fri and Sat. Highest winds expected in
the Straits of Florida.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough from 20N78W to 13N82W will 
gradually dissipate over the next couple of days. A ridge to the
 W of the trough will support mainly moderate trades S of 20N, 
except pulsing to fresh and locally strong between Hispaniola 
and the SE Bahamas tonight and Tuesday night. A cold front is
forecast to move off the SE U.S. Wed night and extend from 
31N74W to NE Florida late Thu and from 31N70W to NE Florida on 
Friday and from 31N65W to E-Central Florida by Late Sat. Strong
high pressure building over the Mid-Atlantic will result in
strong NE winds N of and across the front Fri and Sat with seas
building 9 to 12 FT by late Sat.
